For nine straight days, I felt the warmth on my skin of my home country and I couldn’t be happier (and more golden) about it. Spring is among us, and Mexico let me get a little taste of the things I could wear once it gets warmer in the states! Taking a break from all the rush and enjoying 9 days of secluded land was much needed in order to keep my mind happy. I actually waited last minute to pack for this trip and decided to stop by Madewell the day before my flight, per usual. Somehow I managed to pick out pieces in 15 minutes and they made up the majority of my outfits. Light weight free-flowing fabric is what I look for when deciding what items to pack to Mexico since it can get fairly humid. I can’t wait to wear this top here in the U.S. paired up with a pair of skinny dark or white denim.

I think plenty of us wait all year for Summer, and I am definitely included in that bunch, but what does that mean for us during the other seasons? Do we halt everything else around us just because it’s not summer?
This summer was the best one yet. I traveled around, worked a promotion in my full time job, and went to school at night, but still managed to get plenty of sun and meet a lot of beautiful faces. I like to think that the sun and Popsicles helped me get through all the hard work, but will I stop now that Summer is stopping too? I don’t plan on it, and neither should you. Here’s to making the best out of the next season……… with great coats and scarves as layers.

Levi’s 501 – Rolling Coast
My mother would tell you that 501s were the only jeans she ever wore growing up, and I would tell you that she is crazy for doing that, until I realized they now make them tailored for women. I guess you could say they’re nice enough to “Live in Levi’s”.
