10/10
Language: Greek
Quick feedback: A film that captures how human behavior can be learned and realistically controlled. You'll be thinking "OMG" the entire time.
If anyone ever asks what my favorite movie is, I always answer 'Dogtooth' without hesitation. The concept of this movie is so original and perfectly executed that I find myself thinking about it years after my first viewing.
The film plays around with the idea that our behavior and emotional responses are learned as children/young adults by our parental/adult figures. What happens when parents are the ONLY humans you interact with, and the only knowledge you have is from what those parents have decided to show/teach you? Explore those psychological effects through stunning visuals and a color palette that brings comfort, even though what you're actually watching should NOT be comfortable.
Yes, this movie is not in English, but you can bare through subtitles. I promise you won't regret it! You'll be thinking about it for years too.
